There is no question that the introduction of Neural Net based bots to backgammon was revolutionary. Its nice to fantasize about obtaining radical new insights in our understanding of backgammon over the next 20-30 years like with the initial development of bots. But I'd be shocked if there was a difference of more than 50 Elo between XGR+ and perfect play, let alone statsig rollouts done today by XG.
