I'm not sure what capping cube value has to do with whether the position has a defined equity.

If we are willing to concede that when the player on roll enters, the equity is defined, then the current position's equity must also be defined. Let's also assume that it is D/T now and that each dance is a RD/T, noting that the equity of the opponent's position after a RD/T + dance is exactly twice the equity of the current position.

Let E = the average equity amongst the 11 positions (6 distinct) resulting from entry.

Let P = unknown equity of the current position

Then P = 11/36 * E - 2 * 25/36 * P

86/36 * P = 11/36 * E

P = 11/86 * E

Given that E is defined, then so is P.
