Well the info should be enough, that is the whole idea. Not only in gammon but many other sports you have intermediate score which you can qualify based on huge statistical data and on same time have some general ranking system for players or teams. What you say is definitely true since match winning chance formula based on ratings already accounts for match length. So indeed in new approximation points left in match may participate. What I want to offset right now is that when you get that player A is 60% favorite to win 13 point match against player B this already features some wins from 5:8 for example, so it seems incorrect to me that you retain your full favorite rating when you reach certain score and if this is true then when MET gives you 32% and you stared as 60% favorite my guess will be that your percentage used must be bit lower.
