9.8% unemployment is better than 7.0% unemployment? A huge debt that requires my children and grandchildren to pay is better than Bush's debt? A health care program which provides coverage to 95% of the population could be better than our existing system which covers 85% of the population. But when the health care program stifles business growth, encourages business to drop their coverage to allow the government to take over, and is so grossly expensive that we must now pay so that Obama care can begin in 2014 may not be a wise health care overhaul. A stimulus package which spent about as much money as either the Iraq war or Afghanistan war and has produced no measurable success is better?
Some may believe that politely asking captured Mirandized terrorist to provide essential information is better than Bush’s enhanced interrogation. Bush’s methods saved lives. No fingers were chopped off, no nails were removed, no teeth were drilled, and no eyes were poked out. Some believe that any unpleasant interrogation is torture. I do not. But, let us pray that Obama’s methods are as effective as Bush’s methods to protect this country.
I do not give a darn that a bunch of Europeans and others love Obama. I care about my country’s unemployment rate, its debt, its economy, and its commitment to capitalism and freedom. Socialism is the abdication of freedom to the state for the so called good of the people. By those standards, Obama is not half of the man that Bush was.
