Sometimes it's not how big a technical booboo you make, it's when it occcurs that influences total cost.
Say you make a error that leaves you 1% less winning chances. At DMP that's 1% less mwc, but in the first game in a long match the entire game might be worth only 5% each way (10% swing), so a 1% error only costs 0.1% mwc.
Similarly the cube level affects total cost. Take the same 1% error in the early game example. If the cube is at 2 the total cost doubles to 0.2% mwc, assuming the first and second points are of equal value.
