If you would truly like some serious answers, here, in order of importance, is my list of the some of the most serious flaws you can make in backgammon:

1. Playing Carter in a chouette without wearing headphones to block out the noise;

2. Taking advice from anyone standing up at a tournament giving a lecture about how to play right before the tournament starts and he is trying to beat you;

3. Re-entering an event when you were a big underdog in the first place;

4. Thinking that just because the guy you're playing doesn't have a clue how to play the game that you can't lose.
