So if I understand this thread correctly, in order to take, one need only know if he is above or below his take point, but in order to give the cube, one must know where he is relative to the opening and closing of the doubling window?

I do understand that at 3a/3a the window opens sooner and you are risking less by redoubling than at 4a/5a, and now I understand why you would not double as quickly at the latter score, but how can we determine exactly at what point it is that we should double? Do we simply need more market losers because of the greater risk/reward? And if so, how many more market losers?
