DS laptops are a bit pricey and cater towards the gamer market, noting that most of these companys' customers are gamers rather than BG players or others looking mostly for very high end CPU's.

http://www.xoticpc.com/ is a good place for high end laptops. They are well recommended although I haven't purchased from them. When I want to do a high level RO when away at a T, I just use my work laptop and link into my good work computer.

The issue with the 840QM is that while it is i7, it is only 1.86 GHz. That being said, it would still be a big upgrade in XG speed for many people.
