White to play 62

John, you always seem to post such easy problems. :)
I'll list all plays I considered, which may be more or less than others...
24/22, 10/4. This is the most defensive play I contemplated. Maybe it saves gammons, but what about wins? This move makes opp's four point prime its most efficient. Blondie's timing is suspect -- Brownie can make a lot of status quo preserving moves without leaving shots, in the worst cases.
4(2). This is the most offensive minded play, I considered. Not only does it add a homeboard point, but it also keeps the back checkers spread out for m/l maximal shot hitting potential.
22/20/14. This may look like simply a running play. It is that, but not so simply. Brownie's outfield blot is under pressure, which prevents him from adding a new point. Hits are pretty bad for Blondie unless she can anchor on the come.
22/20, 10/4. (This one may be off most everyone's radar, and maybe for good reason. :) Coverage is pretty good, and making the 20-point would be a significant improvement with the race chances. However, covering is no cinch, and PoH rolls are plentiful for Werner. The homeboard blot potentially gives opp the loose hit as an option. Certainly a tweener play.
Quickly looking 1-ply, Bosco has some awkward rolls, and those seem to be most awkward by just sitting tight and making the 4-point. (Believe it or not, and I don't blame you on the latter, this was my first impression. There is a common BG axiom, "when it doubt, go with your initial feeling." Of course the better you are, the better your instincts.)
4(2).
