"You mean, a good barometer for what?"

Glad you asked. There are some who believe that the luck (EMG) is possibly a barometer of randomness of the dice in match play on a specific site. One of the things is that no one seems to be able to define what is normal (at present). These people quote EMG, and I have always held the view that in match play MWC tells a better picture. A specific lucky roll at the end of a 13pt match may be far more valuable than the same roll in the first game.

In this match the winner got all the bad luck in the first part of the match. Then they got moderately better luck in the final few games and enough to win. So the bot says the winner was really unlucky, but measured by MWC it wasn't nearly that bad.

My question really comes down to this. If people quote and have beliefs held in EMG Luck in match play, then I think it has to be explained why Luck as measured in MWC is not being used.

Just on a side note, I personally don't believe that luck is something worth studying to be a better player. I only bring this up because of the views held by people relating to this specific statistic.
