In Response To: What is your least amount of luck in a win? (Michael Petch)

If I wanted to use EMG luck, I'd use the null hypothesis "My average EMG luck in all rolls against a particular opponent is 0." Then I would play a lot of rolls (matches) against this particular opponent and code a new feature for gnubg that keeps track of the variance of EMG luck roll-by-roll. Finally, I compare the deviation from zero of the sum of EMG luck with the sum of the variances. With some handwaving, after enough data is gathered, probably the significance can derived from the normal distribution, as usual.
