How did you manage to memorize the multiplication table for small numbers? Repetition. And knowing exact numbers is not so important. If you just remember which scores are high or low or very high or very low, you'll be mostly there.

General rule of thumb is that any result that wins the match exactly or puts a player at Crawford is particularly more valuable. Getting to 2-away is particularly less valuable.
