If you win the opening roll you always have a take with the pure (1 away 2 away) free drop available. If you lose the opening roll it gets more complicated. I don't believe there is a list of proper cube action after your second roll reply with a free drop available. This will also depend on the exact score of the free drop. Are you speaking strictly of the pure free drop score of 1 away 2 away post Crawford or are you wanting to encompass 1 away 4 away, 1 away 6 away, etc...? I don't believe memorizing this information would ever be worth it but I do think taking some time one day to go through a lot of the sequences, consider what you'd do, and then checking with the bot is worth it and have done it before myself. By doing this you will formulate some general guidelines on when you should and shouldn't use your free drop.
