In Response To: Five Important Factors to Consider in Evaluating Racing Cubes (Chiva Tafazzoli)

Chiva asks, "Dice have memory?"

Some people have a better memory than others. Similarly, some dice have a better memory than other dice.

I discard my dice with poor memories and save, keep and use my dice with better memories.

In the long run you will roll double sixes 1/36 of the time. If you have been rolling double sixes less than 1/36 of the time in the short run, then you will have to roll 66 more than 1/36 of the time to catch up to make it average 1/36 in the long run.

Backgammon is a very complicated game, and this is but one of many factors that have to be considered in evaluating racing cube decisions.
