there was a site called clubgames.com that was initially popular when msn closed all its traditional game platforms. They played with a regular clock, settings usually 10 sec delay and 2 min/pt, but instead of forfeiting the match if you ran out of time you were assessed a 2 pt match penalty, ie your opponent was given 2 more points and 1 minute of time was added to your clock. If the site is still active last time I looked there was nobody playing and hadn't for well over a year.
The site was mostly free but did offer money play, but never attracted enough players to make it financially feasible.
