With this race lead, you don't want the 16-point. 16/10.

If you survive this roll, what is your problem die next turn (besides whichever die is blocked by opp's midpoint)? 6. So I would leave the vulnerable back checker where it sits (planning on repeating 16/10 next roll). Between 6/5 and 5/4, I'm not sure. Long term (once you start bearing off against the anchor) 3 will be the problem die. 6/5 caters a bit better to that. (OTOH, problem might be 2's earlier, I suppose, and you might need to dump 5's with 6/1.)
