The example below proves that I don't know a damn thing about this game yet I continually make the correct choices, dumb monkey luck I suppose. I wrote in response that at dmp 18, 3* seemed the clear choice to me. When asked to expound on the reasoning I was at a complete loss. The only thing that came to me is 'because it's right!'.

Bob Koca, aka UBK, was also witness to this while playing doubles with me. We had a double two play come up and had many many possible options. I immediately dismissed all the options for one play and then UBK started pestering me about this play, or that play, or why my play was right. I could answer none of his questions and defaulted to the 'because it's right' explanation. We checked later and monkey luck again prevailed and I was right.
