Cookie Problem on the Forums

Hi Stick,
I had observed this about 2 days ago and I have a suspicion it was at Dec31st 00:00 GMT when it occurred. I happened to snag a copy of the headers being returned from a request to post and the reason is obvious:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Sun, 02 Jan 2011 07:54:33 GMT
Server: Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.11
Set-Cookie: WebBBS+Master=nm%3A%3AMichael%2BPetch%26em%3A%3Ampetch@capp-sysware.com%26wn%3A%3Ano%26pw%3A%3NOTMYPASSWORD; expires=Fri, 31-Dec-2010 00:00:00 GMT; path=/; Set-Cookie: BGonline.org+Forums=tp%3A%3A%26tm%3A%3A%26m1%3A%3A85026%26v1%3A%3A1293954873%26m2%3A%3A85026%26v2%3A%3A1293954873%26ts%3A%3A1293954873%26uf%3A%3A; expires=Fri, 31-Dec-2010 00:00:00 GMT; path=/;
Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=100
The key thing to note is that all the cookies coming from the forum (server) now have an expiry date of Dec 31st, 2010 00:00. The browser gets it sees it it is in the past and then ignores at as if it was never set.
What one needs to find out is why the forum is returning cookies with a date in the past.
