I'm having trouble finding my second choice. First choice is 25/21, 4/2 -- "putting a checker where it belongs".
Unless we had a really good 4 elsewhere, 25/23 -- voluntarily getting blocked -- doesn't look right. After 25/21 there are five legal deuces. 3/1* is out. 6/4 double dillies (a second checker out-of-position, and on the same point as the first). 8/6 is decent diversification play (OK, a legit candidate). 13/11 volunteers target practice while giving up a good blocking point. Hope I've covered all the candidates. I still prefer the straightforward play (whatever that means -- my instinctual choice -- OK).
25/21, 4/2.
