They were there in the morning, not in the afternoon. The board was out on the table for several hours as Herb, Stefan, and Joe used the board. My friends are above reproach in my mind. I think it is quite easy for someone to walk over, open the bag, and go through the dice while acting nonchalant like they own it. If questioned, they can just claim they went to the wrong board by mistake or whatever. Most thieves are brazen and the more brazen are often the most successful.
We need to come down on the people that do this sort of thing. I'm still amazed no one came down on the guy caught with Alan Grunwald's stolen board. He was at the tourney where it was stolen. Was stupid enough to show up at a local chouette with a very unique board several months later. Then proclaimed his innocence saying he bought it at a garage sale. Then he wanted reimbursed for the money he 'spent' for it. Somebody should have beaten some sense into him, it's really the only thing people like that understand.
