All quite fair. I'll admit that I "learned" BEACON, but it didn't stick. Why? In the process of learning it, I'd see some doublet and have to stop and think about which one it was. I got tired of it.

Yeah, that's hypocritical... I spent years teaching math students that in order to understand something, you have to get over the fact that you don't understand it and just try stuff out. What if I pick the wrong thing for u and dv? Don't worry about it... just go for it and see what happens.

So, I'll be back in 2012 to comment on nactation again, and meanwhile, I'll give it a more serious go.
