Here are a few of key points from the article:

"I would estimate that 75% of my student’s errors are from not following concepts they already know. Only about 25% are because of something they did not know and need to learn."

"A person’s ability to identify his own errors – not just in chess – is somewhat suspect."

"Even if you, without any help, were able to identify all your negatives – and this is unlikely – it would be difficult to assign the proper level of their effect and identify how to minimize their recurrence."
