This is the type of position where you either want to extend the prime from the back (hitting a fleeing checker and slotting for example) or, after black's homeboard has weakened, from the front (hit loose and cover). Keeping the prime is important initially, so as not to be forced to hit loose when Black's homeboard is sstill strong.
All of this means that any move including 4/3*(2) is quite wrong - it delays the crumbling of Black's board, does not keep the prime, and reduces the number of favorable flee-and-hit-in-the-outfield sequences.
Instead, prepare to hit a fleeing checker, so control against jokers (high doubles) and otherwise add outfield coverage. I'd go with 16/15(2) 19/18 7/6, blocking 6s, increasing coverage, and improving the position of the spare on the 7.
