In Response To: OT N00b Poker Question on implied odds (Ian Shaw)

Your further implied odds come from you being heads up and your opponent is almost certain to put in a continuation bet post flop. In the same respect, you aren't likely to put another dime in the pot unless you've hit something whereas your opponent will.

You should consider the unorthodox 3 bet out of the big blind here. Depending on your opponent it could be a great play or you're an uberdonk. (you also need to know how to play out the hand postflop if you 3 bet) It would be good for this type of problem to know how many were originally in the pot instead of '2nd position raises ... everyone else folds'. If everyone else is a full table of 9 players that's a lot different than if everyone else is a table of 6 players.
