This looks like a cube before the roll to me. Pretty volatile, enough gammons when things go your way, and even when you roll poorly you're still even money.

Cube centered or turned doesn't matter for the play, you should hit. The reasoning is your opponent's home board is a total wreck. When he fans it's gold and when he hits it could still be silver depending on the sequence. It's a win/win.
