High praise for Santa Fe

In Response To: High praise for Santa Fe (Gregg Cattanach)

I second all of Gregg's comments.

In addition to the great tourney and unbelieveable resort, the city and area are a great destination as well.

Within walking distance (2-3 blocks), generally around the historic town square, are a huge number of great restaurants, galleries, museums, and shops.

Venture out a bit and there is some tremendous sightseeing to be done. Beautiful physical scenery, cave dwellings and other Indian ruins, Los Alamos facilities and museum, etc.

If you're into skiing, tack a couple of days onto the trip at the world-class Taos resort only one hour to the north -- Frank Talbot is apparently quiet the skier and just raved about his two days at Taos and the Santa Fe tourney/resort.

I said last year and I'll say again this year, with all things considered, I think Santa Fe is the premier ABT tournament/destination. No offense to some other cities, tourneys, and directors (I enjoy most all of them) but this place is just beyond comparison.
