You play fast, so each time you progress to the next round, you just go and find the table where your two possible opponents are playing their final games.

You kibitz just one or two of those games.

Then when you sit down to play to winner of that match in the next round (matches to 11 pts), you put on your scoresheet: Match to 17, NeilKaz 6, Victim 6.

Et voila!
