This was from sometime late last century. When my opp refused to keep score normally, I did call the director over. His ruling and interpretation were basically the same as the Danish one. ie..in the event of a scoring dispute, my opp would be at a disadvantage if not keeping score in the conventional manner.

Oh..I've since mellowed out a bit when I play, but back then I was an extreme stickler for the rules.
