I'm not aware of any part of bgonline.org that requires a membership fee (but I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.)f

However, you may have browser problems that cause the home page to render incorrectly. There is no reason that you shouldn't try Mozilla FireFox on your XP machine and have a modern browser that can display any website correctly. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

If you don't like it, you can go back to IE6. However, if you insist on only using IE (for some unknown reason) you should upgrade it to IE8. That's the only way to keep some semblance of security patches installed.

Only in the last month have I started using FireFox. I was prompted to do so because IE8 was (and is, AFAIK) unable to display a PDF file inside a browser window when Adobe Reader X is installed. My experience has been that FireFox is superior in every way when there are differences with IE and I now would never consider going back to IE. It appears that FF displays pages at least 50% and has many programming features that work better and make far more sense that what IE offers.
