Yes Xavier. Potential for recording dice etc is one potential cool thing.

As well you won't need to worry about lipped/unlipped cups, how high they are dropped from, how many times you shake. One other advantage would be if the dice land on top of the checkers they could still be valid. Since the randomness is not dictated by how they fall. Cocked electronic dice would still count, since the dice could still indicate the "face to read" even though the die may have not come to rest flat on the board. Basically, electronic dice could reduce the re-rolling that goes on.
