Translation at nordicopen.dk:4. PLACING. If a baffle box is in use, it must be placed opposite the home boards of the players.

Colin, I think you're reading "opposite the home boards" as meaning "next to the home boards." But the intended meaning is "next to the side opposite the home boards." That is, next to the outer boards.

"If a bafflebox is used, it shall be placed on the opposite side of the players' home boards." That's more literal and maybe clearer. I suppose "shall be placed next to the players' outer boards" might be even better.
