I think a lot of people are underestimating whats needed to become world class at bridge. I used to play a WHOLE LOT and competitively too. The kind of study that JJ talked about is practically required (also is NOT over the top either), and I bet that there was a whole lot of learning going on whilst playing competitively too.

I dont even know what it would take to get to a top 100 level in the US, but I expect that its a whole lot more work than anyone here is imagining.

This is where we need Kit to chime in with some extremely relevant comments. Kit? Are you here?
