In Response To: brainstorming -- relational database for reference positions (Chuck Bower)

I think it would be a useful tool. I have an inactive project that has some of this by now. If your bot in 'bot' is gnubg then it seems reasonably doable through usage of the CLI and/or the embedded Python interpreter although there is some work to do. If it's a proprietary bot, the clearly best candidate is BGBlitz with Groovy support added in the 2.7 update (and no aversion to CLIs).

Something like this seems to fit most naturally inside an existing bot, which together with the need for prioritising, and declining interest in bg is the main reason for this not progressing for me.

Developing a useful metric on the set of all positions and having the program classify positions without human interaction would be nice.
