In Response To: Why 1st roll ROs? (RolldUpTrips)

As stronger bots or stronger bot settings become available for use because of faster computers it's only natural we redo some of the rollouts that were very close to begin with to see if anything has changed in the bot's eyes and thus in opening theory. As an extreme example when JellyFish or the earliest version of Snowie I'm sure the opening moves were also rolled out beyond recognition but you wouldn't have suggested stopping there would you have? Now that XG2 is on the verge of being released and XGR+ is going to be able to be used to roll out positions those with a fast enough computer will likely reroll these positions.

I'm fairly certain all the second rolls and second rolls AtS have all been performed. Don't take that you have a lazy admin on this site as defining whether or not a rollout has been performed. All the third roll rollouts for money I believe are finished and I've been grouping the data and organizing it over the last month or so. Thanks to the speed of XG and so many people contributing to the vast pool of rollouts we have the option of one person rolling them all out on your standard 3 ply settings and when the results are very close we can then perform another rollout with even stronger settings. 3 ply is almost used as a tool to weed out sequences that will be clear and then we'll step it up a notch to 4 ply or XGR+ soon.

There's no such thing as too much data or too many trials so any time someone puts forth an early game rollout I'm always happy to see it and add to my collection.
