With Magriel's Backgammon it doesn't matter that many of the final answers are wrong. What's important with Magriel's book are the concepts and explanations. There are many things wrong but the thought process and how you should approach positions is excellent. I no longer have a copy of the book because every time I get one I end up giving it to someone who hasn't read it.

You can always check the final answer against XGR+ and that will be enough. If I remember correctly there's enough opening stuff in his book that you can check against his site or just ask me for the rollout.
