I saw this as a pay-now vs pay-later problem.

- Is there life after death? NO. If we leave a blot now, and White hits it, we most likely lose.

- How likely are we to not pay at all if we don't pay now? - Possible, but also quite possible that we pay later.

- If we leave shots later, are they likely to be worse? - In both cases, White hitting a blot is most likely fatal. But, he might get more shots later.

- Is opp's board going to improve. Opp's board is already very good and is unlikely to get worse if we wait.

--If we pay now and don't get hit, are we gin? NO.

-- If still in doubt, pay later. -- I am still in doubt.

All things considered, I decided to play later here. 6/4 6/3. I guess I am in the minority.
