This is also advice to myself for upcoming matches and T's.

1) When playing doubles all the way to a distant spot, realize that the checkers can pause to rest in the middle of their journey. So on the way to the ace pt, those checkers can make the 4 pt. Then you can pause and see if two threes canbe better played than shifting to the ace pt.

2) This comes from Malcolm Davis. When a play you are about to make hurts your eyes, look around for something better since you may have missed it. In this case making the ace pt hurts my eyes to look at.
