Daily Quiz 4/9/11

Problem 1. I see several candidates here, but considering the strengths vs. weaknesses, it looks like hitting at least one is the first part of my play. So after 6/2* I'm looking at either 2/1* or 23/22. "Tweeners are usually wrong." "In for a penny, in for a pound." Etc., etc. 6/2*/1*.
Problem 2. PRaT is 3 for 3. I think White will have just enough trouble getting off the pseudo anchor to make this a take. D+T.
Problem 3. Wow. Could 4/2*(2) be right? I'm not going THAT far out here. 6/2* looks like a worthwhile diversionary tactic. I'm finishing with a play that I hate making -- building a point I don't want. But at least it safeties two blots. 25/23, 6/2*, 12/10.
Problem 4. Nothing fancy for me here. Mutual holding game says play safe and wait for the dice to tell you what to do. I suppose 8/3 is everyone's five. Then either 3/1 or 8/6. The latter looks a bit too stripped, so I'll go with: 8/3/1.
Problem 5. Trice Count should handle this one well, but unfortunately I only know what's in Boot Camp and this isn't there. Slapping White with a one pip penalty for poor distribution is enough to give Blue a close Kleinman take. You'd have to penalize at least 4 pips to make White even concerned with turning the cube (still may be right at 4), and I don't think it's close to that. D+T.
