Problem 1. White is positioned to improve and Blue just rolled a dud. Don't know if it's an overplay, but I'm going all out to at least keep opp from improving the homeboard. 24/23, 6/3*.
Problem 2. I recently read an article about making the 5-point. Hitting on the 3-point is certainly an option, but I'll go with the structural improvement. If the blot on the 7-point gets sent back, White isn't exactly ready to handle that checker. 5(2).
Problem 3. I don't see an inspiring play here. Owning the 4-point isn't crucial and breaking off the anchor looks dangerous, even with opp's homeboard blot. White can't keep everything. And you know what they say about leaving blots in a mutual holding game. Boring: 12/7.
Problem 4. If Blue decides to play for the gammon, I prefer pick-pass-rip to just straight rip. And I think it's worth the risk. Worst case Blue will have eight off entering against (only) a five point board. 4/3*/2, 1/0(2).
Problem 5. Well, you can wimp-it-up, but looks like you already tried that. 6/4*/3 leaves one less shot and one less blot than 13/10*. It also starts a fourth homeboard point. 13/10* gives more chances to put both on the rail (I think). Still, the former feels like it's less likely to stall when it works and less likely to lead to gammon when it fails. 6/4*/3.
