In similar positions of this nature adjustments are necessary. The reasoning is that each point on the BG board is assigned an efficiency weighting. My own method takes into consideration the crossover rate and point efficiency for each checker in the outer quadrant(s)
In the above position, blue's Surplus Pip Adjusted Race Expectancy or SPARE is 11 pips while white's is 15. White's pipcount is now 138. Combining N32 and converting Rule 62 shows blue winning 78.45.
