- I noticed that the size of the board matters: I had been playing for a while on 2 online sites, one of them played in a browser so I could maximize the board, the other one had a fixed size (small) board. After playing over 100 matches on both sites I noticed that my error rate on the small board site was considerably higher than on the other one. Because I couldn't find any other explanation than the screen size, I started to put the resolution to 1024x768 every time I played on that site. And that did the trick: Since then my error rate went down.

Yesterday I discovered "Backgammon Settings" on GridGammon.

I changed board style from 3d to 2d - now is board as big as GG window, and changed color scheme so it is similar with the color scheme in GnuBG. Will see if that would help.
