Bot vs human opponent - why do I suck?

Well, for players which practice vs bots a lot, becomes easier to play vs bots bcuz they become more familiar with positions which comes these matches. GnuBG is however one same opponent in those series if you play a lot only vs him.

When you play against many different people they make mistakes. More than bot. And you come into unusually positions which are less familiar for you. That is one reasons for sure IMHO.

Second reason could be psychological. One just should learn to play vs human. Well, online play is something in the middle of playing vs bots and playing live matches but still have that "human" component.

Humans are impatient, sometimes unfair,they have bad habit to send difficult cubes not early and easy ones as you said. And good humans can exploit your weakness to which bot doesn't know. GnuBG doesn't understand do you dropper or takes. Bot turns cube on same way against everyone.
