This may be some kind of score-based Catch 22, but I'm not biting. Yes, Blue would like to win an undoubled gammon, but playing for gammon (by hitting) could lead to a double. Fact is, with four opp checkers back there are going to be quite a few gammons if Blue can just get home without getting hit. That's my KISS play here.
