Break anchor? Two problems

In Response To: Break anchor? Two problems (Timothy Chow)

Problem 1. Blue has chances in the race, but they don't looks so great. (KC ~1.05 which is~23.5% cgwc). Meanwhile, running one gives White no bad rolls and a six prime with nine PoH rolls. If White leaves Blue alone this turn (and Blue doesn't run with a six next roll) then his board is likely better so attacking will be more of an option next turn.

If Blue stays, 4-4 and 5-5 leave a shot. (Note, running out turns those worst rolls into best rolls!) Even Blue's breaking the board next turn (which I'm thinking is right) keeps the pressure on White. 1(2)

Problem 2. I can smell blood. This roll didn't make a point but it does bring a checker into the fray. 10/4 creates a builder for both (currently) open homeboard points. With both 4's and 6's allowing escape, I don't see the rush for that. 10/4
