Problem 1. "When ahead in the race..." There may be some sequences where I wish I had played 8/3, but I'm not seeing them. 13/8 gets the midpoint ready to clear (particular with a 5-2 roll next turn) and all sixes are going to play reasonably well after this play -- not the case with the alternative. 13/8.

Problem 2. I only see one play which guarantees no blots next turn: 6/5*/4, 6/5(2). Then there is 6/5*(3), 1/0 which probably steals the most gammons. Finally, 1/0(4) looks best for the pure race, particularly if opp is going to roll his best racing numbers. I doubt ripping 4 gains enough to throw out all gammon chances. Non-entry + 6-5 + hit parlay occurs a bit over 1% of the time. Is an extra checker off worth more than that (i.e. 2+% extra gammons)? I'm guessing 'yes'. 6/5*(3), 1/0

Problem 3. Hmmm, DMP. Making the 20-point looks way right to me at other scores. If you hit you're still 10+ pips behind and 23/36 put you're back to 'GO'. I'm going after both 5-points. 20(2)

Problem 4. The lack of diversity is screaming a lot louder than the depth of the anchor. 6/4(2)

Problem 5. First WDF of the week. I want to see my opponent have to decide if s/he can take the cube after I make my 4-point and 20-point. (I don't even know what I'm supposed to be thinking about as an alternative, making the 2-point-O-H, or the 11-point?) 6/4, 22/20*, 24/20
