tough checkerplay decision? -- ROLLOUT

I tripped badly here, not getting the most important part, that 24/18 absolutely must be the 6. I see three reasons (but would be glad to see correction or enhancement):

1) lone checker remaining on 24-point has more work to do and is less threatening as a shooter than a checker on the 23-,

2) it guarantees communication between last two checkers,

3) if the outside checker gets hit, it's much more valuable to make the 23-point anchor than the 24-point (even though it may not last).
