Backgammon websites +1 to Bill F

I agree with Bill entirely here. Two of the "guilty" websites in the list are managed by club directors I know, and whose clubs I occasionally visit. In both cases, the clubs are run by volunteers who already work hard directing tournaments, getting the word out to players via emails, and entering results on the charts that exist in some form on the websites. In one case, said director has also had to pursue new venues frequently--in one case because the former one had been demolished!
I served as the data entry person and website updater for a couple of years for the Columbus club, back when it existed. The only reason the site looked even half-decent was because a former director (who was an IT person) built it for the club on Geocities. When that went down, so did the site, but since the club no longer existed, it didn't matter. If the club restarts, we may too be guilty of having an "ugly" website--and I will hand its keys to the first person who complains >>
