This shows similarities to today's GammonU vote, where one option is to make the 4-, 6-, 8-, and 10-points (but with 1-1 from the 6-point). It's a rather sterile structure, particularly here with spares on only one of the four points. (Of course one should think of the two checkers on the 10-point as spares, but even then it's not pretty.) Unless there's a good chance of a cash after 10*(2) [and I'm not seeing that] then the new homeboard point here with better outfield flexibility looks better to me.
