Backgammon website criticism = ugly

I am a content person, and design does not matter much to me as long as contents can be read.

I thought the criticism a bit harsh, and thought the 'green monster' might appeal to someone who likes green. But: the criticism was also balanced by advice how to make better websites. I never built a website and somehow doubt that I would be really good at it, but would follow the advice given if I ever get to build one.
