I am in agreement with Chuck's sentiments. Although, I was impressed with the level of play, these players should not be discouraged by too much scrutiny or emphasis on PR at this point. BTW, the median XG level for all players in the tournament was Intermediate and the top 10% of matches were played at an average PR under 9, which is Advanced on the XG scale, quite impressive considering the little amount of time they have spent studying or playing backgammon.
